Outdoor Rinks Status Update (December 13, 2025):
The main outdoor rink and the snowbank rink is now open for hockey and skating. The Grinch and Max (our tractor and Zamboni) have been hard at work getting the outdoor ice into shape for skating and hockey. Enjoy the ice rink, and consult the skating schedule for the hours the ice is available. The snowbank rink is also open for skaters, but with no use of sticks or pucks on that surface.
Updates (such as holiday hours) will be posted here and should also be on our Facebook page. Note that the schedule is subject to change. Please note that 2:00-3:00pm Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays is Family Leisure Skate time only, with no sticks or pucks during that one-hour period.
We thank our ice rink committee and volunteers for their diligent work in keeping the rinks cleared and flooded. We eagerly welcome more volunteers for the 2025-26 season to help clear snow, flood the ice and monitor the warmup rooms. If you would like to help out with the outdoor rinks please get in touch with us by sending an email to volunteer@theridgeonline.ca. We are able to keep the ice in good condition and the warmup room open only if we have volunteers who will step forward and help out.
