Student Summer Job!

Great News!  We are hiring 2 summer students!

The Ridge Community League is looking for 2 hard-working individuals to work in our community for 8 weeks. These positions are offered in partnership with the Canada Summer Jobs program through the Government of Canada. 

Important details:

• Period of 8 consecutive weeks (there is some flexibility with the start date)
• $18 per hour based on a 35-hour work week
• As these positions are part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, candidates must be: Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents; between the age of 15 – 30; legally entitled to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number)

Opportunity #1:

• May 25 – July 17 (the start date is flexible)
• General Labourer: duties include mowing, weeding, painting, cleaning and other general duties
• Majority of the work will be at The Ridge Community Centre (2111 Haddow Drive), but some work will be at Henderson Park and Falconer Park

Opportunity #2:

• June 22 – August 14 (the start date is flexible)
• Computer Support/General Labourer: computer duties include supporting the transition to Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs) etc. Scanning, uploading and organizing files, supporting board members in the learning process. General labourer duties include mowing, weeding, cleaning and other general duties.
