Community Gardens Update for 2025

Calling on all gardeners in The Ridge Community League!

Are you an experienced gardener looking for space or new to gardening and looking for the opportunity to learn? Here is your chance to shine!

Two new community garden beds were installed this year at Haddow (near the Community League Building) and at Henderson Estates (near the playground). Eighteen and twenty-four raised cedar garden boxes are set up for the 2025 growing session at Haddow and Henderson, respectively. Support structures such as water tanks, compost and garbage bins, storage sheds and communication boards will be installed in April/May.

Our kickoff meeting for the gardens will be on April 3, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Ridge Community League Center on Haddow Drive.

If you are interested in a garden bed in 2025, the Ridge Community League website’s Community Gardens Page has information on how to participate, or contact us at gardens@theridgeonline.ca.
