The Ridge Community Centre Snow Shovelling Outdoor Rinks Maintenance Crew
Sidewalk Shovelling
We are looking for 7 – 10 people willing to commit to shovelling snow at the Ridge Centre before 9:00 am each morning, so that all program participants can easily access the sidewalk and building entrance. Youth and adults willing to shovel snow anytime on heavy snow days, would also be greatly appreciated. Shovels are provided.
Outdoor Rink Maintenance
If you are a skater or hockey player who enjoys using the ice, or have a family member who is a skater, it would be great if you’d be willing to spend some time taking care of the surface. Without volunteers, there will not be skating this year. It’s not a difficult job, but just a few willing hands will help to divide the work and maintain our outdoor ice surface that’s rated one of the best in Edmonton!
Snow Valley Ski Club Sunday, February 7, 2026 — 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Tickets must be paid for before the event. Cash, e-transfer and debit accepted. Email, call or stop by the office to make payment. Please note there will be no refunds.

Shedders have established independent meeting spaces for the purpose of putting their combined experience to good public service use, by helping to maintain and improve their communities and facilities. More importantly, we have fun and enjoy giving back. A local ‘Shedder’ will share his experiences in getting one started and what has worked well in other Edmonton communities. To learn more about the ‘Shedding movement’ in Canada visit Men’s Shed Canada.
